Seasoned litigators in family law, our attorneys can guide you to a favorable outcome for your finances and your children’s lives for years to come.

Child Custody
The separation of parents (married or unmarried) is more traumatic for children than for parents. Thus, parents should exercise great care to minimize the emotional toll of a separation on their children. When parents separate, they have to make decisions regarding their children’s custody and support. If they are not able to agree, these decisions will be left to the court. When courts decide child-custody issues, they consider a number of factors, including the children’s preferences, the parents’ mental and physical health, and the relationships between the children and their parents and siblings.

We understand the impact that divorce and parental separation have on children, and work hard to negotiate effective custody arrangements that will be in the best interests of your children. We help families establish custody agreements that recognize and respond to all family relationships. We handle custody matters involving parents’ rights, visitation agreements, and temporary custody and visitation.

A shared parenting agreement is often the best solution to a custody dispute. The alternative is an adversarial divorce litigation over custody, which all too often results in emotional trauma for all parties and in particular, the children.

Mediation
Many of our clients are interested in keeping their divorce private, simple and out of the mainstream court system. Divorce mediation, in the seclusion of our offices, is an economical and confidential alternative to a traditional divorce. Learn more about our mediation services.
