Robert G. Lian is the Senior Partner of Lian, Zarrow, Eynon & Shea. He concentraties his practice primarily in the area of Divorce, Family and Probate Law. A graduate of Holy Cross College with a Bachelors of Arts Degree (cum laude), he received his Juris Doctor from the Boston College Law School in 1965 and was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1965, the United States District Court in 1967 and the United States Supreme Court in 1994.

Attorney Lian has extensive experience in the fields of Domestic Relations and Family Law, Probate law including Estate Contests, business planning including the formation of Private Corporations and Limited Liability Corporations, real estate law representing buyers, sellers and lenders in both residential and commercial real estate transactions. He also practices Divorce Mediation, becoming a mediator in July 2005 after completing the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s Mediation Training Program.

He currently serves on many of the Worcester County Bar Association committees and is a continuing participant in the Volunteer Lawyer Service providing free legal representation to Central Massachusetts residents since 1965. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Notre Dame du lac, a member of the Economics Committee including a member of the Board of the Fairlawn Foundation. He has participated extensively in the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Seminars both as a participant and a moderator. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Attorney Award from the Thomas J. More Society in 2001 and has been active in various other community and religious related organizations.

He is a former Chairman of Community Healthlink the largest provider of mental health and substance abuse services of Central Massachusetts. He has served as Vice President/Director of the Age Center of Worcester. He is a former President of the Worcester County Bar Association and former President/Director of the Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts. He served on the Holden Planning Board as its Chairperson and was a member of the Board of Delegates of Massachusetts Bar Association and a former member of the Massachusetts IOLTA Committee.
